IHA advocates for housing affordability by engaging with global leaders to address the challenges of providing affordable and adequate quality housing.

Representation

IHA members represent countries spanning six continents. This diverse membership can discuss and address globally significant housing issues by leveraging a wide range of perspectives and experiences.

IHA membership reflects countries with significant economic influence within their regions. This breadth of participation ensures that discussions address housing challenges at scale while providing members with internationally informed perspectives that may be applied within diverse national contexts.

Working Groups

Working Groups form an important part of the IHA’s activities. Established in response to priorities identified by member countries, these groups address key housing-related issues, including:

The outputs of these groups, including Statements of Intent, support shared understanding and coordinated perspectives among members.

What We Do

The International Housing Association connects housing organizations worldwide to exchange insights, strengthen housing policy, and raise global awareness of housing challenges through informed international dialogue.

For over 35 years, the International Housing Association has supported cooperation and collaboration between housing sector organizations by providing a forum for dialogue, comparison of approaches, and discussion of common challenges.
