Advocacy

The International Housing Association (IHA) advocates for housing affordability by engaging with global leaders to address the challenges of providing affordable and adequate quality housing. In 2016, the IHA established a Working Group to focus on the delivery of social housing across member countries, aiming to improve access to affordable housing solutions.

Representation

The International Housing Association (IHA) comprises member organizations representing the home building industry from nations across six continents, encompassing both developed and developing countries. This diverse representation allows the IHA to address globally significant housing issues by leveraging a wide range of perspectives and experiences.

Working Groups

The International Housing Association (IHA) has established working groups to address key global housing priorities identified by its member countries. These working groups focus on areas such as climate change, resilience, sustainability, energy efficiency, global housing economics, and housing affordability. Through these groups, the IHA publishes Statements of Intent and shares information and solutions among members.

What We Do

For over 35 years, the International Housing Association (IHA) has provided a unique housing policy and solutions forum, bringing together leaders of the housing sector from countries around the world. Our growing membership spans nations from six continents, including both developed and developing countries. The IHA allows the world’s housing industry leaders to explore and address common issues related to housing and home building and reflects globally significant priority areas identified by our member countries.
